Harlan pitchers allowed only five hits in two games as the Green Dragons swept visiting Pineville by identical 11-1 scores on Monday.
Sophomore Will Varner pitched a two-hitter in the opening game with 12 strikeouts.
Noah Busroe ignited the Harlan offense from the top of the order with two singles, two RBIs, three runs scored and four stolen bases. Varner had a double and drove in three runs. Will Adkins had a single with two runs scored and three stolen bases. Wil McCarthy, Tyler Carmical and Andrew Saylor added one single each.
Antonio Roman struck out three and walked none in three innings to earn the win in the nightcap. McCarthy struck out one as he pitched the final two innings.
Varner pounded out two doubles and drove in five runs to lead the Harlan offense. Saylor drove in two runs with two doubles. Adkins had a double and single. Antonio Roman singled twice. Pedro Roman and Carmical contributed one single each.
Harlan travels to Leslie County on Tuesday.
Harlan fell 11-3 at Perry Central in action from last week.
