Laura Payne led the 11-hit Trojanette effort with three singles.

Katie Gooden had a single and a double while Kelly Pennington had a triple. Crystal Floyd added two singles, while Brandi Hensley, Kim Osborne and Stephanie Pittman each had one single.

Harlan committed more errors than it had hits against Williamsburg on Thursday as the Lady Dragons fell 10-3 at home.

With Jessica Rice unavailable because of a flu-like illness, the Lady Dragon defense suffered, spoiling an otherwise solid five-hit effort by pitcher Megan White (4-6).

A triple and a single by Julie Thomas, a triple by Misti Jones and a single by Brandi Joseph were the only Harlan hits.

Harlan finishes its regular season 7-15. The third-seeded Lady Dragons take on No. 2 seed Cawood in the semifinals of the district tournament at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Cumberland.
