Sidney Miracle, 61, Hulen, died June 16, 2003, at the Pineville Community Hospital.

A native of Brownings Creek, he was a retired security guard and believed in the Pentecostal faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Mary Jane Miracle; two brothers: Gilbert Miracle and Ward Miracle; and one sister, Mary Lissie Miracle.

Survivors include three children: Rose Miracle, Cincinnati; Christine Miracle, West Virginia; and Denise Shoemaker, Williamsburg, Ohio; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers: Bill Miracle, Hulen; and Britt Miracle, Pathfork; three sisters: Betty Simpson, Wallins; Coleen Craig, Pathfork; and Mossie Russell, Clinton, Tenn.; and a host of friends and other relatives.

Visitation is today after 4 p.m. at the Pathfork Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at noon at the church with the Rev. Cecil Edward Hensley and the Rev. Park Saylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilson Cemetery of Brownings Creek.

Pallbearers will be Ronald Ramsey, Britt Miracle Jr., Kelly Lee and other family members and friends.

Mount Pleasant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
