He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Sarah Jones; and one sister, Eva Burkhart.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Vance Jones; two daughters: Janice Teague and Jennifer Womack; one sister, Nell Miller, Dayton; three brothers: Lawrence Jones, Elk Hart, Texas; Fred Jones, Barbourville; and Eldon Jones, Cawood; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private.
Memorials may be sent to Pine Mountain Settlement School or the Alzheimer Foundation.
