A lifelong resident of Holmes Mill, Brock was a retired coal miner and a member of the Clover Fork Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Caudill Brock, his parents, Steve and Callie Short Brock, a brother, Elmo Brock, and a brother-in-law, Fred Bush.
Survivors include two sons: Preston Leroy Brock and Troy Lee Brock; a daughter, Connie Bledsoe and husband, Melvin, all of Holmes Mill; three sisters: Geraldine "Sissy" Perkins and husband, Johnny; Pauline Bush and Faye Clark and husband, Ray, all of Holmes Mill; a half-sister, Clara Ellen Sigmon, N.C.; six brothers: Kester Brock and wife, Freda, Holmes Mill; Rufus Brock and wife, Retha, Exeter, Va.; Lonnie Brock and wife, Lisa, Holmes Mill; Donnie Brock and wife, Darlene, Elwood, Ind.; Gene Brock and wife, Billie, Holmes Mill; and Bob Brock and wife, Patsy, Norton, Va.; a half-brother, Ed Brock, western Kentucky; two granddaughters: Breanna Michelle Bledsoe and Abigail Leeann Bledsoe, both of Holmes Mill; and a girlfriend, Rachel Williams, Closplint.
Visitation will be held today at Clover Fork Missionary Baptist Church at Holmes Mill and Saturday until the hour of the funeral.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Mike Blair and the Rev. Kenneth Thompson officiating.
Burial will follow in Evarts Memorial Gardens.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
