A native of Appalachia, Va., Cooley was an Avon representative. She was also a member of the Cumberland Church of the Nazarene.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Cooley; her parents, Ernest and Myrtle Stone Davidson; two brothers: Ted Davis and Doug Davis; and four sisters: June Whitaker, Helen D. Smith, Patty O. Swanson and Ruth D. Waskey.
Survivors include two children: Billy G. Cooley, Benham; and Margie Lorraine Bannister and husband, Jack, Erie, Pa.; two nephews: Jeffrey Davis, Huntsville, Ala.; and Kenny R. Taylor, Elizabethton, Tenn.; two grandsons: Rick Bannister, Erie, Pa.; and Sam Bannister and wife, Lori, Erie, Pa; two great-grandchildren: Samantha Bannister and Dexter Bannister, both of Erie Pa.; one sister, Shirley Taylor, Big Stone Gap, Va.; and her special friends: Onilee Creech, Sarah Stanley, Brenda Cornett, Nancy Collette, Belinda May, Judy Hansell, Ruby Cress, Gerry Rinehart, Sally Cornett, Chuck Hoffman, Steve Wellman, Bill Boone, David Fields and Jackie Smith.
Visitation is today from 1 to 9 p.m. and after 11 a.m. on Friday at Tri-City Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dillard Stanley officiating.
Burial will follow in the Benham Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include Hayward Bullock, Merle Chamberlain, C. Wayne Creech, Babe Hall, Larry May and Curtis Cope.
Honorary pallbearers will include Raymond Burton, Johnny Rasnick, Hubert Payne, Norris Cornett, Jimmy Dunaway and Darrell Creech.
