A homemaker, she was a member of the Church of the Living God.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Dean; her parents, Fate and Mary Jones Napier; two children: Gladys and J.R. Dean; two brothers: Woodrow and Green Napier; and three sisters: Nancy and Betty Blevins and Eva Howard.

Survivors include 10 children and their spouses: Mary and Golly Jones; Penny and Wayne Middleton; Janice and Alex Stewart; Yvonne and Ted Stewart; the Rev. Sonny and Earlene Dean; Eloise Curry; all of Jones Creek; Paul and Pam Dean, Tazewell, Tenn.; Jewell and Arthur Stewart, Putney; Sue and Harold Satterfield and Mildred Wynn, Maynardville, Tenn.; and 38 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held until the hour of the funeral at the Church of the Living God in Jones Creek.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Jerry Kirby, the Rev. Danny McCreary and the Rev. Donnie Harrison officiating. Burial will be in the Dean Family Cemetery.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Evarts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
