A native of Closplint, he was a retired coal miner for Arch of Kentucky. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the United Miner Workers of America.
He is preceded in death by his father, Hobert Hall.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen Hall, Lexington; his mother, Clydie Hall, Cumberland; three children: Marty Hall, Misty Hall and Marcia Hall, all of Lexington; three sisters: Mary Willis, Greenville, Tenn.; Nola Smith, Kingsport, Tenn.; and Angelia Goins, Richmond; three brothers: the Rev. Darrell Hall, Morristown, Tenn.; the Rev. Robert Leroy Hall, Alexandria, Ala.; and Herman Hall, Unionville, Tenn.
Visitation will be held today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Evarts Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. at e Clover Fork Missionary Baptist Church at Holmes Mill with the Rev. Mike Blair and the Rev. Darrell Hall officiating.
Burial will follow in the Saylor Cemetery, Closplint.
Dewayne Saylor, Keith Saylor, J.C. Hall, Robert Caudill, Ronnie Brock and Doug Peace will serve as pallbearers.
