He was a retired sergeant major in the U.S. Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bailey and Bertha Brewer.
Survivors include his wife, Monique Renee Brewer, Wynn Haven Beach, Fla.; three children: William G. Brewer, Jacksonville; Glenn T. Brewer and wife, Ginger, Pensacola, Fla.; and Steve B. Brewer, Valparaiso, Fla.; five brothers: Wilse Brewer and wife, Etta, Harlan; Eugene Brewer and wife, Loretta, Sharp Chapel, Tenn.; Charlie Brewer and wife, Geneva, Cawood; Jack Brewer and wife, Larvenia, Harlan; and Herb Brewer and wife, Linda, Cawood; three grandchildren: Kevin Brewer and Nancy Brewer, Jacksonville; and Logan Brewer, Valparaiso, Fla.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. is today at the Lewis Funeral Home in Navarre, Fla.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Loreto Chapel at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Fla.
Burial will follow in the Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Fla.
