The following cases have been heard in Harlan District Court, Judge Phillip Hamm presiding.

Ronnie J. Johnson, 20, first-offense drunken driving, operating vehicle on a suspended or revoked operator's license pleaded not guilty, jury trial set Feb. 24.

Bradley M. Fields, 22, first-offense drunken driving pleaded guilty, fined $550.50, license suspended 30 days and sentenced to driving school.

George H. Holland, 42, second-offense drunken driving jury trial set March 23.

Harriet J. Hutton, 45, first-offense drunken driving, possession of open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle pleaded not guilty, jury trial set Jan. 20.

Justin L. Williams, 22, expired or no registration plates, no insurance (first offense), failure to wear seat belt dismissed on proof.

Christopher Jason Lowe, 28, first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (first offense) waived to grand jury.

Margaret Angel Branscome, 28, second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument (two counts) amended to third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument (two counts), pleaded guilty, sentenced to 12 months (probated after restitution of $133.82 is paid to Don's Supersaver).

Gabrille M. Chasteen, 42, three counts of theft by deception (over $300) waived to grand jury.

Jeff Lucas, 34, theft by failure to make required disposition of property (over $300) dismissed by both parties.

Jason Cornett Jr., 32, first-degree fleeing or evading a police officer, first-offense drunken driving, no insurance (first offense), failure to wear seat belt first charge, amended to second-degree fleeing or evading a police officer, pleaded guilty, fined $550.50, license suspended 30 days and sentenced to 12 months in jail (probated for 24 months) and driving school on the first three charges; other charge dismissed.

Patrick Howard, 30, theft by failure to make required disposition of property (over $300) dismissed by complaining party.

Margaret Angel Branscome, 28, second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, theft by deception (under $300) first charge amended to third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, pleaded guilty, sentenced to 12 months (probated after restitution of $156.32 is paid to Wal-Mart).

Kevin M. Dixon, 25, conspiracy to traffic a controlled substance (first offense) waived to grand jury.

Harry L. Shuler III, 22, conspiracy to traffic a controlled substance (first offense) waived to grand jury.

Dewayne Harley Sturdivant, 28, conspiracy to traffic a controlled substance (first offense) waived to grand jury.

Chris Combs, 18, second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor, first-degree criminal trespassing, second-degree burglary waived to grand jury (bond reduced to 10 percent of $5,000).

Margaret Angel Branscome, 28, second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument amended to third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, pleaded guilty, sentenced to 12 months (probated after restitution of $72.37 is paid to Save-A-Lot).

William Wynn, 38, first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (first offense) amended to second-degree trafficking a controlled substance (first offense), pleaded guilty, 12 months in jail (probated for 24 months).

Rodney Howard, 31, conspiracy to traffic a controlled substance (first offense) waived to grand jury.

Johnny Brown, 33, third-degree escape, second-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension pleaded not guilty, jury trial set Jan. 6.

Kenneth Wayne Gilpin Jr., 30, first-offense drunken driving, operating vehicle on a suspended or revoked operator's license, no tail lights, failure to register transfer of a motor vehicle, expired or no registration plates, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt, improper registration plates, no insurance (first offense) first two charges, pleaded guilty, 12 days in jail; other charges dismissed.

Kevin Stephenson, 32, fourth-degree aggravated assault pleaded not guilty, jury trial set Feb. 3.
