Franklin D. Brown, 70, The Heritage, died Jan. 11, 2004, in the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin.

A native of Coldiron, he was a former school teacher in Detroit. He was a musician.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bradley and Serena Brock Brown; and his wife, Nancy A. Brown.

Survivors include his sister, Artie Lee Edds, Coldiron; a brother, Jimmy Ray Brown, Cleveland; three nieces: Sandar Cottrell, Corbin; Ruth Sears, Ohio; and Donna Caldwell, Coldiron; a nephew, James Donald Runion, Bell County; several great-nieces and nephews; his special friend, Easter Warfield; and all the staff and residents of The Heritage.

A memorial service will be conducted Monday at 1:30 p.m. at The Heritage, conducted by Brother Frank Epperson and Frank's close friend, David E. Moore.

O'Neil Funeral Home in Corbin is in charge of arrangements.
