Dale Reel, 85, Harlan, died Feb. 27, 2004, at Rosewood Nursing Home Rehabilitation Center in Grafton, W.Va.

A retired saw mill worker, he was a member of the American Legion Post No. 0273 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. He believed in the Protestant faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles McClelland Reel and Stella Blizzard Reel; and his wife, Mary Louise Riffle Reel.

Survivors include five children: John Jack Harrison and wife, Sara, Colombus, Ohio; Joe Reel and wife, JoAnn, Evarts; Gary Queen and wife, Esther, Grafton, W.Va.; D. Robert Leonard III and wife, Priscilla, Colombus, Ohio; and Gail Morrison and husband, Samuel, Grafton, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one sister, Hazel Moore, Rock Cave, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton, W.Va.

Funeral services are Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Chaplain Dwight Baldwin officiating.

Burial will follow in the West Virginia National Cemetery.

Military rites will be observed at the graveside.
