An Enterprise Staff Report

The Cumberland Redskins' game Friday against Williamsburg was a pitchers' duel, much like their first meeting in the regional All "A" Classic semifinals a week ago.

But this time, it was the visiting Yellow Jackets who came out on top as Williamsburg edged Cumberland 2-0.

Drew Chamberlain took the loss for Cumberland despite giving up just four hits.

Junior John Reynolds turned in a four-hit performance as well and earned the win for the Jackets.

Williamsburg scored a run in the fourth inning when Darrell Moses doubled to lead off the inning and scored on a single by Brett Barton.

Matt Jones reached on an error in the seventh frame and scored on a single by Cody Harrell to give the Jackets some insurance.

Harrell singled twice to lead Williamsburg.

Cumberland (6-6) was led at the plate by Ryan Williams with two singles. Drew Allison and Kevin Cope each added a single.

The Skins return to action today at Hazard, where they will take on the host Bulldogs in the All "A" Classic sectional playoff for the right to play in the state tournament next weekend.

Williamsburg (9-4) will play host to Harrodsburg in a doubleheader today.
