Harlan improved to 19-5 with a 15-0 victory Tuesday over visiting Pineville.

Julie Thomas led the Lady Dragons with three singles. Jessica Rice added two triples. Tierra Sundy contributed two doubles. Chelsey Hensley added a single.

Rice struck out four and walked one in three innings to claim the win. Hensley fanned two and walked one in a hitless inning of relief.

Harlan returns to action Thursday at home against Williamsburg.

The Cumberland Lady Skins also had no trouble disposing of the Lady Lions on Monday.

Dawn Metcalf (10-9) allowed one hit and struck out 13 in the complete-game victory.

Metcalf and Ashley Creech each singled twice for the Lady Skins. Arleena Sergent, Jessica Creech and Lindsay Collier each added singles.

Stephanie Smith singled for Pineville's lone hit.

In previously unreported action, the Lady Skins dropped two games in the Big Dog Classic at Dunbar High School in Lexington over the weekend.

West Jessamine fended off a sixth-inning rally by Cumberland and held on for a 5-3 win. The Lady Skins stranded 11 runners and committed four errors in the defeat.

Jessica Creech singled twice to lead Cumberland. Metcalf, Collier, Ashley Creech, Amber Glover and Erika Wynn each added singles.

The Lady Skins were held to three hits as they fell 9-0 to Whitley County on Saturday after a four-hour rain delay. The game was held to a one-hour time limit due to the weather.

Kelsey Day, Metcalf and Collier singled for Cumberland.

Metcalf suffered the loss in both tournament games.

Cumberland (12-8) returns to action today with a doubleheader at home against Whitesburg.
