A native of Lynville, Ind., she received her B.S. in Nurse Education from Manchester College; M.S. in Nursing Education from Indiana University; and Graduate Nurse from Indiana University School of Nursing. She was a nurse at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis and retired as an instructor for Nursing of Children of Children at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was a member of Sebring Church of the Brethren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. and Elma Peck Gentry.
She is survived by her sister Elta Steele, North Liberty, Ind.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on June 19 at the Palms Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Hess officiating.

Morris Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
