Sam Wynn, Jr., 58, Evarts, died June 17, 2004, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington following a brief illness.

He was a disabled coal miner and believed in the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Middleton Wynn; his father, Sam Wynn, Sr.; and a brother, Willis Wynn.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Euna Howard Wynn, Evarts; two daughters: Jennie Wynn and Brittany Wynn, both of Evarts; two grandchildren, Zachary Burke and Zada Cargle; two sisters, Lucy Hall and husband, Francis, Pennington Gap, Va.; Ludie Parker and husband, Glenn, Tenn.; three brothers: Finley Wynn; Roy Wynn; Glenn Wynn and wife, Dessie, all of Tenn.; and a sister-in-law, Mildred Wynn, Tenn.; two special friends: Junior Kinney, Evarts; Charles Ray Jones, Verda; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Visitation is Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Red Bud Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at the church with the Rev. John Luttrell and the Rev. Sonny Dean officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Evarts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
