Improving Lady Cats lose to Clay

Evarts coach Ed Harris isn't a big believer in moral victories. But has was able to find satisfaction in the Lady Cats' 61-31 loss to Clay County on Friday.

"I hate to lose worse than anybody in this country. I have never been at least halfway satisfied with a 30-point loss, but I was happy with how we played tonight," he said.

"We played with discipline for four quarters; we played with effort for four quarters. If we continue to do that, we'll continue to improve."

The Lady Cats committed 26 turnovers, compared to just eight by the Lady Tigers. But virtually all of Evarts' miscues were the result of Clay County steals.
