A native of Lincoln County, he graduated from Fort Logan High School and played football at Evarts High School.
He is survived by his father, Gary Miniard; his mother, Debara Banks Dillman; maternal grandmother, Mary Helen Ivey; paternal grandmother, Carrie Miniard; one brother, David Lee Miniard; one sister, Sherry Whitaker; two nephews, Tristian and Trenton Whitaker; three aunts: Teresa Ivey, Julie Carroll Miniard and Regina Gail Huff; five uncles: Mary Ivey, Glen Miniard, Ronnie Miniard, Johnny Miniard and Waldo Miniard; his stepgrandfather, Darrell Ivey; a special friend, Kalia Massingale; and several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Miniard Cemetery in Leslie County.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
