Ruby Bertha Middleton Long, 35, Verda, died Dec. 19, 2004, at her home.

A native of Verda, she lived there all of her life. She was a homemaker and believed in the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Harold Middleton, John Middleton and Bertha Middleton.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Long, Verda; her parents, Abner and Wilma Middleton, Verda; two children: Scotty Middleton and Cassie Middleton, Verda; three stepchildren: Jeremy Long and Devin Long, both of Tennessee; and Amber Long, Verda; two sisters: Lisa Middleton and Sandy Middleton, Verda; four brothers: Abner Middleton Jr., Michael Middleton, Mitchell Middleton and wife, Ruby; and Rickie Middleton and wife, Gladys, all of Verda; two grandchildren: Dillion Middleton and Lexie Villan, Verda; her grandmother, Ruby Middleton, Verda; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation is today from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Turner Baptist Church in Verda.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Jerry Kirby and the Rev. Sonny Dean officiating.

Burial will follow in the Turner Cemetery at Verda. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
