A native of Lee County, Va., she had lived here for the past 25 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Beginning Church of God at Coxton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Floyd Wheetley; her mother, Rebecca Napier Harris; her father, Marion Harris; a son, Freddy Wheetley; a grandson, Mike Wheetley; two sisters: Geraldine Wallace and Rosie Thompson Ledford; and three brothers, Fritz Harris, Harvey Harris and Obie Middleton.

Survivors include three children: Len Wheetley, Quincy, Fla.; Murry Dean Wheetley and wife, Julie, Haines City, Fla.; Maudie Horchar and husband, William, Menifee, Calif.; one sister, Audrey June Goins, Evarts; and 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at Evarts Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Charles Thompson and the Rev. Jerry Kinney officiating.

Burial will follow in Evarts Memorial Gardens.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Evarts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
