Jessie Michael Sharp, 82, Harlan, died Jan. 12, 2005, at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital.

She was born July 21, 1922, in Warren, was a homemaker, a former employee of T.G.&Y. and was a 27-year member of Sunshine Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Elizabeth Cowan Michael; husband, Ralph Sharp Sr.; three sisters: Bobbie Farley, Maggie Noe and Virgie Miller; and three brothers: Jim Michael, Virgill Michael and Tommy Michael.

Survivors include two children: Pam Grills and husband, Doug, Evarts; Ralph Sharp Jr., Harlan; four grandchildren: Kim Grills, Evarts; Jay Sharp, Pamela Sharp and Adam Sharp, all of Harlan; one great grandson, Trevor Gilbert, Evarts; two sisters: Rosemary Bargo and husband, Gene, Harlan; and Betty Cole, Georgia; a special niece, Jan Rose Perkins and husband, Harry, Harlan; and several other relatives and friends.

Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Roy McNeil and the Rev. Ernest Boggs officiating.

Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery.

Men of Sunshine Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.

Mount Pleasant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
