He was a minister for Harlan United Pentecostal Church of God for over 30 years, a 1948 graduate of Hall High School, a U.S. Air Force Korean War Veteran, a 1955 graduate of the Kentucky School of Embalming, a 45-year member of United Commercial Travelers and a Harlan County funeral director and embalmer for over 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar L. and Susie Ivy Miller; and two brothers: O.J. Miller and Edgar Miller, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Helton Miller, Fresh Meadows; four children: Tonya Melinda Miller, Berea; Bill Miller II and wife, Jeannie, Harlan; Shawn Miller and wife, Kim, Fresh Meadows; and Mark Shane Miller, Fresh Meadows; a brother, Eldon Miller and wife, Phyllis, Verda; two sisters: Betty Tipton, Cochaton, Ohio; and Jackie Mayfield, Baxter; and five grandchildren: Colton Miller, Austin Miller, Brendan Miller, Cheyenne Biggs and Lacy Biggs.

Visitation is Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Rich Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. G.L. Vittitow, the Rev. Robert Fox and the Rev. Robert Landis officiating.

Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Garry Lynn Henson Jr., David Johnson, Danny Smallwood, Dale Lusk, Jim Shoemaker, Chris Miller and Mike Forester.
