He was born in Leslie County on Oct. 14, 1940. He believed in the Pentecostal faith and had been an equipment operator in the coal mines. He was an active and dedicated member of the Bell County Volunteer Fire Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hobert and Matilda Brock; a sister, Mossie Sawka; and brothers: Clifford and Theo Brock.
Survivors include his daughters: Lisa Brock and husband, Wayne; Katherine Estes and husband, Jim; and Donna Brock; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and seven brothers and sisters: Lucy Napier, Jewell Grubbs, Vestina Napier, James Brock, Verlin Brock, Charles Brock and Cecil Brock.
Visitation was Monday after 6 p.m. at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home in Pineville. Family and friends may sign the guestbook at www.arnettsteele.com.
Funeral services will be conducted today at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Ronnie Williams and the Rev. Jordan Lee Saylor officiating. A memorial honor guard will be provided by the Bell County Volunteer Fire Department.
Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro.
Pallbearers will be members of the Bell County Volunteer Fire Department.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons Justin Templeton, Joshua Estes, Deshawn Estes and Chris Estes.
