Oma Hoskins Ball, 84, Corbin, formerly of Loyall, died April 18, 2005, at Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin.

A native of Bell County, she had lived in Harlan County most of her life. She was retired from the Kentucky Unemployment Department and believed in the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bailey Ball; her parents, W.B. and Bell Hoskins; two sisters, Minnie Greynolds Stafford and Nettie Blanton; and six brothers: Arthur, Clarence, Chester, Obie, Esau and Clyde Hoskins.

Survivors include a daughter, Debbie Cook and husband, Chandlar, Corbin; a brother, Levi Hoskins and wife, Martha, Corbin; four grandchildren: Suzanne, Scott, Stephen and Seth Cook; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation is today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Loyall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Darren Gaddis officiating.

Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the First Baptist Church of Loyall.

Loyall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
