Ernest Fuson, 83, Cumberland Gap, Tenn., died May 22, 2005, at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital.

He was a native of Knox County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Fuson and Rose McCabe Fuson; three grandsons: Joshua David Fuson, Jacob Rodney Fuson and Paul Nathan Fuson; six brothers: Joe Fuson, Walter Fuson, Morm Fuson, Virgil Fuson, Raymond Fuson and Bill Fuson; three sisters: Villie Fuson, Mary Bennett and Florence Ivey.

Survivors include a wife, Catherine Fuson, Cumberland Gap, Tenn.; two daughters: Shirley Hill, Cumberland Gap, Tenn.; and Phyllis Honeycutt, Hawthorne, Fla.; one son, Gary Wayne Fuson, Cumberland Gap, Tenn.; four grandchildren: Daniel Honeycutt, Eric Honeycutt, Brandon Wayne Fuson and Derrick Kyle Hill; two great grandchildren: Daniel Lewis Honeycutt II and Braeden Loyd Hill.

Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Creech Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the Spirit and Truth Worship Center in Arthur, Tenn., with the Rev. Audie Miracle and Brandon Fuson officiating.

Burial will be in the Greenville Memorial Garden.

Pallbearers will be Gary Wayne Fuson, Brandon Wayne Fuson, Derrick Kyle Hill, Daniel Lewis Honeycutt, Eric Honeycutt and Virgill Honeycutt.

Creech Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
