Charles "Emerson" Warf, 82, died Sunday at the University of Louisville Medical Center.

A native of Virginia, he was an Army veteran of World War II, a retired administrator, teacher and coach for the Greater Clark County School Corporation. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club of New Albany and local, state and national educational associations. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a Kentucky Colonel. He was a member of Central Christian Church, where he served as a deacon.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara McGuire Warf; a daughter, Carrie Jo Ward, New Albany, Ind.; one son, Chuck K. Warf and wife, Julia, Sellersburg, Ind.; one brother, Larry Warf, Cumberland; and two sisters: Faye Foutch, Alexandria; and Karen Jane Quillen, Gatlinburg, Tenn.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes.
