A native of Harlan County, she was a former employee of A & P Grocery, the Harlan Independent School System and the Harlan County Extension Agency. She was a member of Sunshine Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Elizabeth Michael and Virgie Miller; three brothers: Tommy Michael, Virgil Michael and Jim Michael; and three sisters: Bobbie Farley, Maggie Noe and Jessie Sharp.

Survivors include her husband, Eugene Bargo, Harlan; two children: Jan Rose Perkins and husband Harry, Harlan; and Jamie Bargo, Harlan; two granddaughters: Cristi Bargo and husband, Brent, Harlan; and Cindy Childers and husband, Jason, Harlan; three great grandchildren: Morgan Bargo, Kaitlin Bargo and Kimberlyn Bargo; one sister, Betty Cole and husband, Avery, Dalton, Ga.; a special niece, Pam Grills and husband, Doug, Evarts; a special nephew, Ralph Sharp Jr., Harlan; special friends: Ranji and Jerry Stewart; and several other relatives and friends.

Visitation is today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home with the Rev. Ernest Boggs and the Rev. Roy McNiel officiating.

Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
