District court cases

The following cases have been heard in Harlan District Court, Judge Phillip Hamm presiding.

Valerie Shows, 20, third-degree terroristic threatening pleaded not guilty, jury trial set Jan. 24.

Ronald D. Nolan, 17, speeding (15 miles per hour over the limit), expired or no Kentucky registration receipt, expired or no registration plates dismissed on proof and on motion of county attorney.

Angela R. Burke, 30, fourth-degree assault (minor injury), first-degree criminal trespassing pleaded not guilty, jury trial set Nov. 22.

Joyce A. Smith, 39, expired or no registration plates, no insurance (first offense) dismissed on proof.

Phillip D. Coleman, 42, theft by deception (under $300) continued for arraignment Sept. 14.

Brenda Reddington, 44, third-degree criminal trespassing pleaded not guilty, jury trial set Jan. 24.

Donald Hensley, 27, operating vehicle on suspended/revoked operator's license, expired or no registration plates, no insurance (first offense), failure to wear seat belt dismissed on proof.

Phillip D. Coleman, 42, two counts of theft by deception (under $300) continued for arraignment Sept. 14.

Lawrence Lucas, 22, speeding (16 miles per hour over the limit), expired or no Kentucky registration receipt, no insurance (first offense), failure to produce insurance card, operating vehicle on suspended/revoked operator's license, driving on a suspended license (first offense), obstructed vision and/or windshield, no operator's/moped license, two counts of failure to wear seat belt continued for arraignment Aug. 29.

Joyce A. Smith, 39, expired or no registration plates, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt, two counts of expired or no other state registration receipt or plates, improper registration plates, failure to produce insurance card, improper display of registration plates, failure to register transfer of a motor vehicle, license to be in possession, license plate not illuminated, two counts of failure to wear seat belt dismissed on proof.

Rodney D. Combs, 18, failure to comply (instructional permit), three counts of failure to wear seat belt continued for arraignment.

Jesse J. Robinson, 42, no operator's/moped license, no insurance (first offense), four counts of failure to wear seat belt failed to appear for hearing.

Samuel V. Mills, 32, expired or no registration plates, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt, no insurance (first offense), improper display of registration plates failed to appear for hearing.

James M. Howard, 30, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt, expired or no registration plates, no insurance (first offense), improper registration plates failed to appear for hearing.

Adriana Polly, 37, speeding (18 miles per hour over the limit), operating vehicle on suspended/revoked operator's license, two counts of failure to wear seat belt dismissed on proof.

Sylvinia A. Townsend, 62, license plate not illuminated, operating vehicle on suspended/revoked operator's license continued for arraignment Sept. 26.

Joseph Farmer, 21, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt, expired or no registration plates, no insurance (first offense) failed to appear for hearing.

Justin R. Joseph, speeding (26 or more miles per hour over the limit) amended to 65 miles per hour in a 55 zone, pleaded guilty, fined $137.50.

Jamie R. Brackett, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt, expired or no registration plates dismissed on proof.

Timothy Blevins, speeding (20 miles per hour over the limit), no operator's/moped license, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt, expired or no registration plates, failure to register transfer of a motor vehicle, expired temporary plates, failure to give or improper signal, failure to produce insurance card, three counts of failure to wear seat belt continued for arraignment.

Everett Cornett, 41, operating vehicle with expired operator's license dismissed on proof.

Charles S. Howard, operating vehicle on suspended/revoked operator's license, failure to notify address change to the transportation department, two counts of failure to wear seat belt continued for arraignment.

Lakisha Henderson, 27, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt, expired or no registration plates, no insurance (first offense), operating vehicle on suspended/revoked operator's license failed to appear for hearing.

Della Wiggins, 27, license to be in possession, operating vehicle on suspended/revoked operator's license continued for arraignment.

Samuel V. Mills, 32, expired or no registration plates, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security (first offense), failure to wear seat belt failed to appear for hearing.

Ashley N. Lucas, 40, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt, expired or no registration plates dismissed on proof.

Tabitha R. North, 28, speeding (11 miles per hour over the limit), expired or no registration plates, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt, failure to register transfer of a motor vehicle, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security (first offense), failure to produce insurance card first charge, amended to equipment failure, fined $137.50; other charges dismissed on proof.

Lisa M. Brock, 38, no operator's/moped license, license plate not illuminated, two counts of failure to wear seat belt continued for arraignment.

Remington W. Hensley, 19, second-offense (or more) drunken driving, operating vehicle with one headlight pleaded not guilty, jury trial set Jan. 17.

Millard Wayne Perry Jr., 32, operating vehicle on suspended/revoked operator's license, first-offense drunken driving pleaded not guilty, jury trial set Jan. 24.

Melissa A. Potter, 30, license to be in possession, failure to register transfer of a motor vehicle, failure to wear seat belt, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security (first offense) failed to appear for hearing.

Brandy N. Rose, 27, operating vehicle on suspended/revoked operator's license failed to appear for hearing.
