An Evarts man was arrested on Sunday on several charges, including wanton endangerment.

Carl D. Johnson, 38, was allegedly observed by the arresting officer on KY 38 around 3:45 a.m. on a four-wheeler with a passenger going at a very high speed.

According to the citation, Evarts City Police officer Terry Jacobs was "blue-lighting" Johnson and using the siren, but Johnson did not stop. He was allegedly under the influence of alcohol.

Johnson was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs (second offense), reckless driving, first-degree fleeing or evading police and second-degree wanton endangerment.
