Lonnie Jones, 68, Evarts, died Oct. 18, 2005, at the Harlan ARH Hospital after a long illness.

Born Oct. 3, 1937, Jones believed in the Baptist faith and was a member of the Turner Baptist Church. He was a retired manager of the Kountry Kitchen Restaurant in Toledo, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Martha Jones; a son, Calvin Jones; and three brothers: Claude Jones, Ray Jones and Lewis Jones.

Survivors include four sons: Terry Jones and Dewayne Jones, both of Toledo, Ohio; Randy Jones, Evarts; and Ricky Jones, Corbin; a daughter, Vicky Mitchell, Catrons Creek; a brother, Dallas Jones, Evarts; four grandchildren: Tiffany and Dennis Mitchell, both of Catrons Creek; Kershanna Jones, Gatlinburg, Tenn.; and Brandy Farmer, Pineville; four great-grandchildren: Chad, Syliven, Alex and Raylynn, all of Pineville.

Visitation will be held today after 3 p.m. at Turner Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Jerry Kirby officiating.

Burial will follow in Evarts Memorial Gardens.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Kentucky Rain Bluegrass Band.

Johnson Funeral Home of Lynch is in charge of arrangements.
