Pride will be on the line in a 7:30 p.m. county matchup Friday as Cawood (1-8 overall, 1-3 district) plays host to Cumberland (5-4 overall, 2-4 district).

Neither team has defeated a county opponent this season, which is one of two points that Cawood coach Frank Smith has stressed this week in preparation for the game.

"It's a county opponent, and we've lost to every other county opponent on our schedule this year, and the last team (at Cawood) that's done that is 1971 (along with 1966), and we don't want to add 2005 to that list," Smith said.

The Trojans are likely headed to the playoffs for the ninth straight time, and Smith hopes to gain some momentum before going to Belfry. Only an upset of Breathitt County by Knott Central would keep Cawood out of the postseason.
