For one reason or another, that didn't happen. The result, however, was hundreds of toys delivered to Harlan County this holiday season as part of the Angel Tree program.
"When I asked her what she wanted for Christmas last year, my little granddaughter said a pony," said Ed Ginter, who made the trip Thursday all the way from Georgia to bring toys and clothes to the Harlan Countians For A Healthy Community organization. The group is heading up the Harlan Angel Tree project, which has distributed gifts to over 500 children for the past three Christmases.
