Artie Brown Edds Daniel, 79, Coldiron, died Dec. 16. 2005, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

A native of Coldiron, Daniel was a homemaker and believed in her faith from the Holy Bible. Her two favorite hobbies were cooking and quilting.

She was preceded in death by her parents Bradley and Serina Brown; husbands Harvey Lee Edds and Charlie Daniel; four brothers: Donald K. Brown, Harold J. Brown, Orville Brown and Franklin Brown; a sister, June Brown Runions; three children: David Michael Daniel; Harvey Glenn Edds and Ronnie D. Daniel; and a great-grandson, Scott Bradley Cottrell.

Survivors include three daughters: Sandra Gail Cottrell, Halls, Tenn.; a son-in-law, Curtis Cottrell, Wallins; Ruth Sears and husband, Ralph, Lewisburg, Ohio; and Donna K. Caldwell and husband, Hank, Coldiron; a son, James Daniel Runions, Hulen; a brother, Jimmy Ray Brown and wife, Blanch, Cleveland, Ohio; two aunts: Jenette Marrow, Varilla; and Ester Payne, Joppa, Md.; an uncle, Forrester Brock, Varilla; a special sister-in-law, Virginia Cottrell, Wallins; a very special friend, Mildred Davis, Coldiron; 17 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

A memorial service will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with ministers Terry Ramsey and John Carpenter officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Resthaven Cemetery with grandsons serving a pallbearers.
