An Enterprise Staff Report

An Evarts man was arrested Thursday in connection with a burglary.

Timothy J. Hall, 32, of Evarts, was arrested by Evarts City Police Chief Lupe Blas after an investigation into the burglary.

Hall is charged with second-degree burglary and receiving stolen property over $300.

According to a police report, a burglary occurred on or around Jan. 6 at the home of the late Flo Avera.

Over $10,000 worth of items were allegedly taken from the residence.

Blas was informed of the break-in by Terry Williams, caretaker of the estate.

During the course of the investigation, Blas recovered over $3,000 worth of collectibles, mainly consisting of baseball cards and baseball memorabilia.

That discovery led to Hall being charged with receiving stolen property.

The report stated that several witnesses say Hall showed them items taken from Avera's home and made the claim that he had stolen the items. This lead to Hall being charged with burglary.

Items still being searched for include more collectible cards, collectible dish plates and some home interior picture frames.

Anyone with any additional information can contact Blas or anyone else at the Evarts City Police at 837-8183.
