A Dayhoit man pleaded guilty, was sentenced and probated in Harlan Circuit Court on Thursday.
Michael Anthony Williams, 28, was sentenced to 12 months in jail and probated for 24 months on a charge of theft by failure to make required disposition of property.
According to Williams' indictment, he was accused of taking a television valued over $300 which Williams agreed to pay for and failed to do so.
Conditions of Williams' probation include paying restitution, having no contact with the parties involved and obeying all the laws of the commonwealth.
Williams was sentenced by Special Judge Jeff Choate.
In other court action:
-- Jenette Absher, 41, of Jones Creek, was scheduled for a shock probation hearing. The hearing was continued because she had not been transported from Clay County Jail. An order was entered for Absher to be transported on a later date.
-- Jimmy Ray Absher, 39, was scheduled for a shock probation hearing.
The case was continued because Absher was not transported from La Grange. A transport order will be entered.
-- Karen M. Boggs, 44, of Cumberland, was scheduled for a shock probation hearing, which was continued because she had not been transported from prison.
-- Cathy Rivers, 43, was scheduled for a shock probation hearing.
The case was continued because Rivers was not transported from prison.
