Rick McKnight, 45, Cumberland, died April 21, 2006, from injuries suffered at the Lone Mountain Mine Processing Company, where he had been employed for 11 years.

A graduate of Cumberland High School, he attended the Cloverlick Freewill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Kelly McKnight, Cumberland; his parents, Leonard and Anna Ruth McKnight, Cumberland; two children, Audrey and Ethan McKnight, Cumberland; four brothers: Mike McKnight and wife, Annette, Cumberland; Hank McKnight and wife, Phyllis, Harlan; Mark McKnight, St. Petersburg, Fla.; and Adam McKnight and wife, Aimee, Cumberland; and a sister, Teresa Ison and husband, Mike, Cumberland.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the chapel of Day & Jones Funeral Home in Cumberland.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home in Cumberland with the Rev. Mike Blair and the Rev. Don McKnight officiating. Burial will follow in the Peaceful Acres Cemetery at Hiram. Rodney Stidham, Greg Kelly, Brent Barker, Chris Phipps, Josh McKnight and Ben McKnight will serve as pallbearers.

Day & Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
