A native of Cawood, he was a truck driver having been employed by Bill Burkhart at BYY Trucking. He was a member and Deacon at Chevrolet Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Swanson Sr.; his grandparents: Harve J. and Daisy Swanson; and George and Kizzie Barrett; and a mother-in-law, Lucille Fox.
Survivors include his wife, Jody Swanson, Cawood; two daughters: Daisy Jo Swanson; and Amy Michelle Swanson and special friend, Joe McKenzie, both of Cawood; his mother, Drucilla Swanson, Cawood; two sisters: Peggy Swanson, Cawood; and Diane Ball and husband, Tim, Cawood; four brothers: Ronald Swanson Jr. and wife, Lois, Cawood; Buck Swanson, Cawood; John Swanson and wife, Judy, Cawood; and Paul Swanson and wife, Tammy, Cawood; three nephews: George Chappell, John Ben Swanson and Josh Ball; one niece, Victoria Swanson; and several brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Eddie Huckleby and the Rev. Randy Hoskins officiating.
Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
