Harlan crushes Pulaski

The Harlan All-Stars advanced to the final four of the District 4 Tournament (age 11) at Hazard with a 16-1 rout of Pulaski County on Friday a Hazard.

James Bond, Cory Sergent and Jacob Hampton teamed on a three-hitter in the four-inning game.

Harlan pounded out 18 hits against three Pulaski pitchers, led by Cory Chorak with a triple and two singles. Bond hit his second home run of the tournament, a two-run shot in the fourth inning, and also added a single. Dawson Charles, Alex Sergent, Dalton Overbay and Dylan McNiel each added two singles. Zach Chitwood had a triple. Jacob Stephens contributed a double. Mark Ward, Austin Lewis and Hampton each singled once.

Harlan will play Hazard today at 8 p.m. Middlesboro faces South Laurel at 6 p.m. in the winners' bracket final.
