Connie Lynn Shuler, 44, Holmes Mill, died July 9, 2006, at the Harlan ARH Hospital following a long illness.

A native and lifelong resident of Holmes Mill, she was a member of the Closplint Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emily Saylor Shuler and Otie Shuler; two sisters, Janet Faye Shuler; and her grandparents, Nevada and Will Shuler and James W. and Cora Ethel Saylor.

She is survived by four sisters: Wilma Short, Evarts; Edna Whitaker and husband, Leroy, Corbin; and Rosella Guntle and Brenda Frederick, both of Holmes Mill; two brothers: William Shuler and wife, Ingrid, Highsplint; and Phillip Shuler and wife, Garrie, Pennington Gap, Va.; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held today after 5 p.m. at the Closplint Church of God.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Frank Howard and the Rev. Donnie Thomas officiating.

Burial will follow in the Kelly Cemetery at Breedens Creek. Pallbearers will be Ryan Broughton, Herald Shultz, Roy Williams, David Smith, Shawn Smith, Dan Lee Shuler, Jody Stacey, Junior Shuler and Steven Thompson.

Evarts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
