Lottie Bell Smith, 90, Evarts, died Aug. 24, 2006, at Harlan ARH Hospital. A native of Lafollette, Tenn., Smith had lived in Harlan County most of her life.

Smith was a homemaker and a member of Treblo's Church of God in Evarts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kelly Smith; her parents, Martha and Andy Smith; a son, James Smith; and two daughters: Mossie Cross and Lorene Collinsworth.

Survivors include seven children: Jerry Smith and wife, Clara, Tremont; Dorothy Smith, Catrons Creek; Johnny Smith and wife, Edna, Harlan; Charles Smith and wife, Mary Lou, Beaver Dam; Clifford Smith and wife, Judy, Dayton, Ohio; Kelly Smith and wife, Margaret, Wallins; and Jewell McQueen, Evarts; 28 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Evarts Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Sanders officiating.

Burial will follow in Evarts Memorial Gardens.

Sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
