Rains was the owner of K-9 Design, an Evarts High School and Eastern Kentucky University graduate, and she was an avid supporter of the Madison County Humane Society and sponsor and player of the K-9 Design softball team.
Survivors include her father, Rodney Rains, Springhill, Fla.; her mother, Linda Gilliam Rains, Harlan; two brothers: Vernon Rains, Harlan; and Mike Rains, Richmond; three sisters: Susie Massingill, Joni Walters and Angela Walters; seven nieces: Amber Walters, Kayla Posey, Adrienne Davenport, Miranda Davenport, Shawna Davenport, Alisha Massingill and Brooklyn Massingill; and one nephew, Chad Massingill.
Visitation will be held today from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Morrin and Chase Trimble officiating.
Burial will follow in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Sean Ayers, Shane Thomas, Larry Thomas, Brian Bradley, Jayson Arnold, and Rodney Moberly. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Horn and Brian Lockhart.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Judy Rains Memorial Fund c/o U.S. Bank 200 East Main St. Richmond, Ky.
