She believed in the Holiness faith and was a member of the Laurel Branch Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Bertha Ray; five brothers: Charles Ray, Homer Ray, Denver Ray, Bige Ray and Bill Ray; two sisters: Arie Ray and Mary Brock; and two brothers-in-law: Freddie Whitehead and Don Stewart.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Leslie Whitehead Jr., Bledsoe; a son, Jason Whitehead Sr. and his wife, Misty, Bledsoe; two grandchildren: Jason Whitehead Jr. and Jesse Whitehead, both of Bledsoe; three sisters: Chloe Stewart, Baxter; Grace Day and husband, John, Bledsoe; and Loretta Whitehead and husband, Walter Sr., Barbourville; three brothers: James Ray and wife, Ailleen, Greenfield, Ind.; Clarence Ray and wife, Debbie, Mozelle; and David Wayne Ray, Catrons Creek; mother- and father-in-law, Rosa and Leslie Whitehead Sr., Bledsoe; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at the Laurel Branch Pentecostal Church.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Keith Coldiron and the Rev. Hershel Belcher officiating.
Burial will follow at the Napier Cemetery at Bledsoe. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
