In good journalistic style and etiquette, let's start this column off with the high point, shall we?

Since the gatekeeper of this valuable space (known in the biz as an editor) insisted it would be a good idea to keep my personal score each week, I'm gonna take this opportunity to crow like a rooster at dawn - just like that blasted one my grandparents used to keep on that farm of theirs.

Here at Week 6, I stand at 41-17 on the year for a 70.69 winning percentage. I'm plumb amazed. Them's Adolph Rupp-type numbers right there, and this is that sport with the ball that takes those funny bounces.

So, in honor of my winning percentage, I hereby dub this Jinx Week. Still gonna call ‘em as I see ‘em.

-- Bills at Lions: Detroit hasn't won a game, can't run much, can't protect the passer, and is starting to see the injuries pile up. Hmm
