He had been a coal miner and had also worked for the railroad. He was a member of the Closplint Church of God, and a deacon at Bloodbought Church in Harlan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Sarah Kelly; and five brothers: David, Dewey, Moss, Elijah and Delmus Kelly; three sisters: Isabelle Jackson, Laura Wilkinson and Molly Robbins; and Delmar “Uncle Doc” Kelly.
Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation is today from 5 to 10 p.m. and Tuesday until 1 p.m. at the Closplint Church of God.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Frank Howard officiating.
Burial will follow in the Robbins Cemetery in Allentown.
Men of the Closplint Church of God will serve as pallbearers.
Evarts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
