The Trojanettes shot a miserable 17 percent (11-for-63) as they fell to the visiting Lady Cats 57-33 on Thursday.
Dixon, a senior forward, poured in 21 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, both game highs.
"The key to tonight was that we made shots," Bell County coach Richard Gambrel said. "We played more comfortable and more unselfish. We kept them pushed out on the floor, and they didn't shoot particularly well, and that's probably unusual for them in this building."
Bell also held a 49-41 advantage on the glass.
"We've been getting better at that the last few games," Gambrel said. "It's just the fundamental things, like blocking out."
Cawood scored the first five points of the game on a 3-pointer by junior guard Emily Boggs and a steal and layup by Denna Burkhart. But the Lady Cats answered with 15 straight points to end the period. Dixon, Jamie Shepherd and Jenna Lefevers each nailed a 3-pointer in the run.
The Trojanettes got some production off the bench in the second quarter as sophomore guard Amanda Helton scored four points. Helton and Burkhart found each other for back-to-back 3-pointers that cut the Trojanettes' deficit to 18-13 at the 4:40 mark.
Shepherd knocked down a pair of treys later in the quarter to recapture the momentum, and Bell took a 35-18 lead into the locker room at halftime. Dixon and Kacy Denny each scored six points in the quarter.
Any chance Cawood had of rallying quickly went south with its shooting percentage in the third quarter. The Trojanettes missed their first nine shots in the period and hit just two of 21 overall as they fell behind 48-22.
Shepherd added 11 points for the Lady Cats.
Burkhart and Boggs scored seven points apiece. Burkhart, a senior guard, was the only Cawood player to hit more than two field goals in the game.
Cawood (7-13 overall, 4-3 district) returns to action Friday at home against Evarts in the nightcap of a boys-girls doubleheader.
Bell (10-11, 7-1) is scheduled to play host to Harlan in a district doubleheader Friday, if the Lady Dragons aren't still participating in the All "A" Classic.
