Knox Central senior guard Wendi Messer leads the 13th Region Basketball Coaches Association all-region list. Clay County's James Burchell, who led the Lady Tigers to their second straight regional title, was named coach of the year.
The remainder of the first team includes Kourtney Tyra, of Jackson County; Page Jackson, of Clay County; Mikkah Rogers, of Corbin; Stephanie McCullah, of Whitley County; Caitie Jackson, of North Laurel; Whitney Smith, of South Laurel; Katie Dixon, of Bell County; Brooklyn Jimison, of Middlesboro; Emily Boggs, of Cawood; and Lauren Wombles of South Laurel.
The second team includes Erika Letanosky, of Cumberland; Callie Mills, of Barbourville; Brittany Jackson, of Corbin; Stephanie Jackson, of Clay County; Amanda Brimm, of Whitley County; Chassidy Lawson, of Harlan; Kat Hoffman, of Williamsburg; Ashley Madon, of Pineville; Gemma Gray, of Clay County, and Amber Whitehead, of Jackson County.
The third team includes Casey Karr, of North Laurel; Ashley Banfield, of Barbourville; Courtney Bell, of Harlan; Kristen Baker, of Bell County; Brittany Jordan, of Knox Central; Ashley Sizemore, of Knox Central; Makenzie McWhorter, of South Laurel; Caroline Huff, of Harlan; Emily Osborne, of Middlesboro; and Jyssica Williams, of Cawood.
