A.M. Brock, 62 of Harlan, passed away Monday, April 30, 2007 at his residence following a long illness. He was coal miner for Harlan Fuel Company and was a member of the Southern Labor Union. He believed in the Holiness faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Thomas and Kate Thomas; one son, Tony Randall Pate; his grandparents, Ammon Brock and Margaret Saylor

Brock; and two siblings, Jewel Thomas and Ricky Thomas.

He is survived by two children, Reba Jean Hyde and husband Richard, Harlan; and James Darrell Pate and wife Lisa, Speedwell, TN; his former wife, Lillian Pate, Harlan; 15 brothers and sisters, Harvey Thomas, Harlan; James Thomas, Cumberland; June Saylor, Columbia, KY; Ruby Garcia, Maryland; John Thomas, Alabama; Kelsey Joe Thomas, Indiana; Nathanial Thomas, Georgia; Darlene Brock, Tennessee; Tony Thomas, Evarts; Glen Dale Thomas, Evarts; Margaret Joyce Carroll, Cranks; Clara Thomas, Tennessee; Mary Bertrum, Tennessee; Barbara Lisa Fultz, Harlan and Theresa Allen, Lynch. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Amber Nicole Pate, Andrea Mae Pate, Sarah Lynn Pate, James Randall Pate all of Tennessee; Eva Marie Hyde, KY and

Montoya Lynn Pate, Indiana.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. in the chapel of Harlan Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Harlan Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the family cemetery at Little Creek, KY.

Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

Harlan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
