The Harlan 11-year-old All Stars were eliminated on Sunday in the District 4 Tournament with a 13-3 loss to North Laurel at the South London Little League Complex.

Ryan Gay scattered five hits for North Laurel. He had six strikeouts, walked one and hit a batter. Isaiah Collier powered North Laurel with a home run and a double.

Harlan was hampered by five errors.

"We just ran into a better team," Harlan coach Will Curry said. "We made a few mistakes. We hit the ball in spurts, but didn't come up with the key hits. We played a better team, but I'm still proud of them. We did better than anybody thought we would."

Harlan collected five hits. Dylan Brewer, Jacob Clark, Mark Duff, Tye Patrick and Colby Wilson each singled once.

North Laurel, which defeated Pulaski County 8-4 on Monday, will play South London for the championship tonight at 7. Isiah Johnson scored the winning run Saturday as Harlan edged Corbin 4-3.

Jacob Hensley and Marshall Ward combined on a four-hitter for Harlan. Hensley started and pitched 4 1/3 innings, allowing three runs on one hit with seven strikeouts and four walks. Ward struck out two, walked one and gave up three hits in 1 1/3 innings.

Ward paced Harlan with three singles. Brewer followed with a double and single. Wilson added two singles. Duff doubled and Clark singled.

"We played good team ball on Saturday and beat a real good Corbin team. Everybody contributed, and I was tickled to death with them," said Curry.

Harlan took fourth place in the tournament.
