Roland "Tobe" Peace, 76 of Threepoint, died Friday at Fleming County Hospital in Flemingsburg, KY peacefully with his son, Roland Jr, his daughter-in-law, Edith and his grandson, Willard by his side. He was a Veteran of the US Army 82nd Airborne Division and a disabled Coal Miner.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Ed and Helen Peace, his wife, Lorene Peace; his son, Joseph Peace; daughter-in-law, Tammy Peace; his brothers, Lanny Peace, Harvy Peace and Robert Peace.

He is survived by: his four children, Christopher Peace, Baxter; Timothy L. Peace, Bobs Creek; Roland Peace Jr. Mt. Olivet, KY and Toby L Short, Elcomb. One brother, Glen Edward Peace, Plainfield, Ill; his sisters, Georgia Allen, Loyall; Lois Arvin, Springfield, Ohio; Melinda Fee, Cleveland, Ohio; Mary Caldwell, Loyall; Lucille Peace, Loyall and Judy Dameron, Cleveland, Ohio; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchild and a special friend, Edna Martin, Harlan.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at 12:30 PM at Rich Funeral Home with Rev. James Willard Pope officiating. Visitation is Tuesday after 10 AM until the funeral hour.

Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery with Military Rights by Harlan County Honor Guard. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
