Mescal Sager, age 82, of Dayton, passed away Monday, October 8, 2007, in Madison, IN at the home of her grandson and granddaughters.

She was born January 11, 1925 in Harlan, KY, the daughter of John Earl & Sudie Katherine (Stewart) Kennedy.

She was a dedicated member of the Church of God for over 50 years. She retired from Miami Valley Hospital after many years of service.

She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Elza Beasley; second husband, Clarence Sager; son, Michael Beasley; grandson, Mark A. Beasley; brother, Dutch Kennedy; and her best friend, Mildred Fee.

Survivors include her grandchildren: Michael D. Beasley, II of Madison, Sudie Beasley of Dayton; great-grandchildren: Chel-sea Beasley, of Madison, IN, Autumn Landis, Kira De Volld, Johnny Ray, all of Dayton; and her brother, Billy Wayne Kennedy and family of Pikeville, KY.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH, with Rev. David Renfro Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Dayton.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time services.
